YAA sends a clear signal on World AIDS Day for love, respect and condoms Published on:

Since the 16th of November the new campaign of Youth against AIDS (YAA) is online and also visible on many poster panels all over Germany. In the following weeks the campaign motives will be showed on thousands of Out-Of-Home advertising platforms aswell. The main message is: “Do what you want. Do it with love, respect and condoms. ” Numerous prominent campaign ambassadors will not only represent the values of YAA but they will take part in many concrete projects too! Youth Against AIDS will present some of those projects today  during the „Night of Life“ in Berlin.

 This year, eleven open-minded personalities stand behind the new Youth against AIDS campaign. They reach almost 12 million followers daily through their strongest social media channels. The heart of the campaign is the guiding principle of the education initiative: “Do what you want. Do it with love, respect and condoms.“

„In times where condoms sink into oblivion more and more, we are calling people’s attention to condoms again. We do not only want to show how to protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases but we also want to spread an attitude to life: Do what you want. Do it with love, respect and condoms“, underlines Daniel Nagel, CEO & Chairman of the Board of Youth against AIDS.

For the fifth year, Heiko and Roman Lochmann (DieLochis), the most famous twins in the German music scene, support Youth against AIDS. In addition to them also international stars like the rapper Cro, and Blogger like Riccardo Simonetti and Caro Daur will support the initiative.

On the occasion of todays World AIDS Day Youth against AIDS together with Levi’s hold the „Night of Life“ in Berlin for the third time. After Hamburg and Munich, the exclusive charity event will take place in the „Kühlhaus“ in Berlin this year. Highlight of the programme will be the presentation of the new YAA projects in Southafrica. Besides that another highlight will be the presentation of an exclusive Jeans Jacket, desgined by campaign ambassador and rapper Cro. All the revenues of the jackets sale will be donated directly to Youth against AIDS.

Today, the initiative is happy to call personalities such as Federal Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel, Jens Spahn (Federal Minister of Health, Advisory Board member of JGA), Michel Sidibé (Director, UNAIDS) and Dr. Gottfried Hirnschall (Director of HIV / AIDS and Hepatitis Program, WHO) their supporters. Patron of the initiative is Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The work of the young committed people is only made possible by strong partners like Gilead, AXA, Facebook, Instagram, Levi’s, MSD and Billy Boy.
